An effective, protective deodorant
Our deodorant is partly composed of iris root powder. It is a natural plant called "Racine de Violette" with incredible advantages and has been eliminating bacteria for centuries, protecting our skin, preserving it and treating it.
Iris florentia alleviates allergies and external attacks on the skin, soothing irritated, red, and dry skin. As iris is rich in essential juices, tannins and carbohydrates, it restores elasticity to the skin. It alleviates seborrhoeal eczema by forming a protective, revitalizing film on the skin.
Our deodorant is completely universal and is suitable for men, women, and children. It gives off a very slight violet scent and is tolerated by all skin types - including the most sensitive.
Our deodorant can be applied to all zones of the body with the highest levels of perspiration: on the feet, hands, chest, and armpits.
Without paraben, without alcohol and without aluminum salt or alum stone, it regulates perspiration without blocking it and respects the natural functions of elimination of toxins by the skin. Our deodorant makes us forget the unpleasant effects of perspiration.
Composition of our deodorant
Our deodorant is manufactured in our workshop in Marseille. We use handmade and natural techniques to produce our deodorant, following a simple but effective recipe with just four ingredients without GMO.
- White clay : It absorbs excessive moisture and softens the skin. It also calms the epidermis after a waxing.
- Powdered Iris florentina : it protects and hydrates the skin, as well as softening it and absorbing moisture.
- Bicarbonate of soda : non-toxic and non-allergenic, it eliminates bacteria and cleanses the skin while minimizing undesirable odor.
- Organic Corn starch : helps hold the deodorant in place on your skin, absorbs perspiration and softens the skin.
All our ingredients originate in France excluding powdered Iris, which comes from Morocco.
It DOESN'T contain ANY :
- Aluminum salts (or aluminum chlorohydrate)
- Potash alum or alum stone
- Propellant gases
- Triclosan alcohols
A deodorant that is not an antiperspirant
Our deodorant does not block perspiration, which can be a problem for people who perspire a lot - but perspiration is both natural and necessary.
However, it does have a slight effect, reducing perspiration due to the presence of bicarbonate of soda, but in the interests of your health and well-being we have chosen not to strengthen this antiperspirant effect, as found in industrial deodorants.
Our deodorant acts on bacteria in particular. On the other hand, sweat is one of the ways by which our body rids itself of toxins and waste products. Blocking this excretion blocks the operation of our organism.
What they don't tell you about industrial deodorants
Despite the ingredients that have been proven to be harmful to our health, industrial manufacturers continue to use:
- Aluminum chlorohydrate (ACH), better known as aluminum salts. Very widely used, it is nevertheless an irritant for the skin that penetrates its various layers and accumulates in our organs. It can cause irritation, inflammation and more.
-Potassium alum and whatever its derivative is also aluminum, a metal that has nothing to do in our body.
- Propellant gases such as butane, ethanes, and other gases which, once released into the atmosphere, increase pollution by volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Moreover, no studies into the effects on humans has been released.
And finally the other additional junkies like the triclosan, a synthetic anti-bacterial but also known endocrine disruptor, or even the various alcohols like the liquor denat completely allergenic.
Here is the composition of our deodorant 100% natural:
Ingredients: Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), Kaolin (white clay), Iris Germanica Florentinea (Florence iris powder), Zea Mays starch (organic corn starch)
How to use our deodorant
It's very easy to use. It's a roll-on - i.e., a pot with a roller ball which allows the deodorant to pass through as it rolls over your skin.
The first thing to do is to clean the skin to which you will be applying the deodorant (feet, armpits, torso, back, etc.) Naturally, we can only recommend that you use our soap for that ;)
On a dry skin, pass the roll-on delicately back and forth, then left to right. To find out if you've put on enough, it's easy, you should have a whitish area without lump or big layer on your skin as in the photo.
To see if you haven't put on too much of it, you can run your hand over the skin and no powder should fall away. If some of it falls of, don’t start worrying about your clothes, even black, it is completely stain-free. Powder will gradually disappear from your skin over the next few hours - don't be afraid of wearing a tank top :)
Our deodorant has a slight scent of violets. If you wish, you can add essential oils or your favorite fragrance. Our deodorant absolutely won't mask their scent.
Of course, it can be a little unsettling the first time you use it, because it is completely different from traditional or industrialized deodorants, whether you use an aerosol spray or a stick. However, we assure you that you get used to it very quickly.
In the first few days after you have abandoned your usual deodorant, your body will need to regulate itself and you will smell and sweat more. No panic this is normal, it will take 1 to 2 weeks to your body to understand the change and regulate your perspiration and your odor.
A roll-on pot made from recyclable plastic
For the packaging of our powdered deodorant, we have chosen recyclable PET plastic roll-ons. This type of plastic is the most environmentally friendly type in existence (and even better for the environment than glass, taking into account the manufacturing process and shipping requirements).
This roll-on contains no phthalates or bisphenol A and results in a light and solid package. We've tested and retested it!
If you'd like to reorder deodorant, we recommend that you reuse your roll-on and order a refill. The planet will thank you.
